We have a position for a dedicated criminal lawyer who is committed to the values of our firm and its reputation.

We practice in all areas of criminal law from extradition to corporate crime, arguments about the admissibility of forensic evidence and advocating complex jury trials before Queensland Courts. At Robertson O’Gorman Solicitors we have strived for over 40 years to create a firm and culture of excellence in criminal defence. We have a reputation as a place where people love to come to work. We create an atmosphere of collaboration and seek views from our colleagues on case strategy.

Our lawyers are law reform advocates. Terry O’Gorman, one of our founding partners, has a long history as a civil libertarian. Through his involvement in the Fitzgerald Inquiry of the late 1980s he was instrumental in changing the thinking of judges and politicians who did not accept that police were abusing their positions of power and trust.  Dan Rogers, our legal director, is heavily involved in the management of the Caxton Legal Centre, Queensland’s largest community legal centre.  Dan serves on the Queensland Sentencing Advisory Council where he provides advice to the Attorney-General and delivers community education programs.

Through this engagement and advocacy, law is not only our profession but our vocation. If this is an opportunity that you have an interest in please send your CV to emma@robertsonogorman.com.au
