As Queensland’s leading criminal defence firm our priority is to ensure the best possible outcome under the circumstances of each individual case. In some cases this means building the strongest possible legal defence aimed at successfully defending charges at trial.
In other cases we have clients who accept responsibility for an offence – in which case our energy is focussed on achieving the lowest sentence supported by comprehensive arguments in mitigation.
Our solicitors appear in and conduct cases in these Courts not only in the major centres of Brisbane, Ipswich, Beenleigh, Toowoomba, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Southport and Maroochydore, but also in Magistrates Courts throughout the State. Our firm represents people who find themselves in difficult circumstances in a broad range of proceedings in the criminal law and associated fields
Experience has shown that we achieve the best outcomes for our clients where they retain us at a very early stage, namely before answering questions by police and before they are charged.
Where clients are charged with serious offences or where they have a complex criminal history, we regularly conduct hard fought bail applications to ensure that our clients are not held in custody while they await trial or sentence.
Providing a personal, professional service is a priority in our firm where your legal work will be undertaken by either accredited criminal law specialists or by fully qualified solicitors who practice principally in the field of criminal law. We also work closely with barristers (from junior counsel to top criminal senior counsel) at an early stage to obtain the benefit of their knowledge and skills in delivering the best results for our clients.
This firm believes that the Federal and State Governments do not sufficiently fund Legal Aid to enable the comprehensive work required to achieve the best possible outcomes in each case. We are therefore unable to provide legal representation funded through Legal Aid.
