Jaimee‑Lee was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in August 2017 and, in recognition of her expertise, was awarded her Specialist Accreditation in Criminal Law by the Queensland Law Society in 2024.
Before entering practice as a solicitor, Jaimee‑Lee developed a strong foundation in criminal law through her work as a law clerk at a criminal defence firm, and later a clerk to a presiding Domestic Violence Magistrate in Southport. These roles afforded her valuable insight into court processes, judicial decision‑making, and the practical realities faced by defendants and their families.
Her work has been recognised through professional accolades, including being a finalist for Queensland Solicitor of the Year (Small Firm) at the 2025 Queensland Law Society Excellence in Law Awards, multiple Rising Star recognitions for Criminal Law in Doyle’s Guide, and the national Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Award in Criminal Law.
Jaimee‑Lee has extensive experience across all stages of criminal proceedings, including Magistrates Court sentencing and bail applications, complex trials in the District and Supreme Courts, and appellate matters before the Court of Appeal. Her practice encompasses a broad and diverse range of criminal law matters, including youth justice. She also represents clients in child protection proceedings.
In addition to her advocacy work, Jaimee-Lee is committed to community service and the advancement of the legal profession. She contributes as a co‑author of a criminal law chapter in the Lawyers Practice Manual, published by Thomson Reuters. She has volunteered with the Caxton Community Legal Centre, providing pro bono legal assistance to vulnerable members of the community. She is an active member of the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland, serving on its Criminal Law Sub-Committee, and sits on the Queensland Law Society’s Access to Justice and Pro Bono Law Committee, contributing to initiatives that promote equitable access to justice across Queensland.
